USB fuse blown out?

I bought myself an external USB hub. It is self powered and I think it blew off the fuse to the USB ports on my laptop.

XP will not find any devices unless it is connected in some way to the hub, ie (device to hub and hub to laptop) or (both hub and device plugged at the same time to laptop)

Is it possible to change the fuse myself?

Where can I get a fuse and how much will it cost?

Now you said your hub is externally powered, so that means the data lines are still intact in your pc, its only the power lines that are damaged.

What makes you think you've blown a fuse?
